Keeping
families warm and safe during the cold winter months and preparing
homes to better retain warmth in the winter and cool air in the
summer is what CTI's Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) is
all about. It allows Community Teamwork to insulate, make repairs
and provide energy conservation measures to homes that will help
families to stay warmer and conserve fuel. This program is available
to both homeowners and renters with landlord permission. Clients
who qualify for Fuel Assistance also qualify
for the Weatherazion Assistance Program.
Weatherization
may include attic and/or wall insulation, window caulking, pipe
insulation and other conservation measures completed by licensed
contractors and inspected by CTI's trained and knowledgeable energy
inspectors to be certain that the work was performed correctly.
Over 250 homes in the Greater Lowell area were insulated last year
due to CTI's Weatherization Program.
