The Pathways to Advancement and Training in Healthcare (PATH) Program, funded by the Workforce Competitiveness Trust Fund administered by the Commonwealth Corporation, focuses on obtaining employment and advancement in the healthcare industry for entry-level and incumbent workers in the Greater Lowell area.
Community Teamwork, Inc. (CTI), in partnership with area employers and education and training providers, has developed a career pathway program for patient care and healthcare administration that will increase the quality and stability of the healthcare workforce, while promoting the efforts of local residents to obtain family sustaining employment.
Eligibility Criteria Includes the Following:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to speak fluent English (bilingual applicants encouraged)
- CORI Clearance
- Successful Health Screening
Target Occupations:
The PATH Program focuses on two occupational tracks - patient care and medical administration. Participants may begin and remain in a single track or cross tracks as they advance.
Patient Care Track: (Examples of possible positions) 
- Attendants/Transporters
- Nursing Assistants
- Phlebotomists/Medical Assistants
Medical Administration Track: (Examples of possible positions)
- Patient Access Clerks
- Medical Records Clerks
- Medical Administrative Assistants
Career Counseling:
As a participant in the PATH Program, a Career Advisor will help you assess your employment interests, write and refine your resume, prepare you for job interviews, and support you as you enter or advance in the workforce.
Supportive Services:
The PATH Program has an experienced staff of case managers to assist you with addressing many of the barriers that may make finding a job and succeeding in employment challenging. Support continues even after you have found employment.
PATH Partners:
Community Teamwork, Inc. as the lead agency of the PATH Program, is coordinating the participation of employers and training providers.

- Shawsheen Valley Regional Technical Vocational High School
- Lowell Public Schools - Lowell Adult Education Center
- City of Lowell - The Greater Lowell Workforce Investment Board and the Career Center
