CTI's
Mission is to assist low-income people to become self-sufficient,
to alleviate the effects of poverty, and to assist low-income
people to participate in the decisions that affect their lives.

If you are at Risk
of Homelessness in the Greater Lowell and Merrimack Valley Region… CTI's
Housing Consumer Education Center (HCEC) is a clearinghouse for
emergency housing assistance resources. Depending on eligibility
and funding availability, the HCEC may be able to provide help
to families and individuals experiencing temporary financial setbacks.
HCEC provides assistance with rent or security deposits
to avoid homelessness, transportation, moving costs, medical needs,
prescription fees, and more. Visit the HCEC

Having
Trouble Paying Your Mortgage? We Can Help! Community
Teamwork, Inc. (CTI), in partnership with the Coalition
for a Better Acre and several other community-based organizations,
opened the Lowell Office of the Home Preservation
Coalition of the Merrimack Valley (HPC) to offer FREE counseling
and other services to homeowners facing foreclosure. For more

Home
Modification Loan Program Allowing
people to remain in their homes and live independently is the
goal of the Home Modification Loan Program. CTI administers
this program in the Northeast/North Shore area to help families
obtain low-interest or no-interest loans to make modifications
to their homes for elderly residents or those with disabilities.

Merrimack Valley Hub is
a great on-line resource to connect providers and consumers
with community information throughout Greater Lowell and the
Merrimack Valley. This data base contains thousands of organizations
and their services, all of which can be searched using keywords
or the name of the organization.

Teamwork provided a Constituent Services Workshop for legislators
and their aides at the State House on Thursday, March 22nd from

STEPS
TO HOMEOWNERSHIP
CTI is pleased to offer its four
week first-time homebuyer serminars.
Graduates of the Steps to Homeownership seminar receive a certificate
that makes them eligible to apply for Mass Housing low-interest
mortgage loans, Mass Housing Partnership soft second program
and down payment assistance programs in many Mass. cities and
towns. Upon completion of the course, participants earn a certificate
good for one year throughout the State. Check out the informational

first-time homebuyers.

at the Gospel Concert of Thanksgiving held at the Eliot Church
on Saturday, November 19th. Over 200 people enjoyed the music,
the singing and the wonderful food specially prepared by LaBoniche.
All proceeds from the Gospel Concert will help to end homelessness
and provide scholarships.

Virtual
Gateway is an on-line tool for consumers and providers
to access Health and Human Service Programs. Through this
single point of entry, visitors may take a short
screening survey to determine potential eligibility for
EOHHS programs. Other tools of the Virtual Gateway include
a catalog of services and a Common Intake Form for registered
providers.
